Meet Educator Pivot
I began my career as a kindergarten teacher, where I learned firsthand that teaching is one of the most challenging and rewarding professions there is. Even today, I share that teaching was the hardest and most important role I've ever held.
After the classroom, I had the opportunity to work at the district level, where one of the parts of my role was evaluating educational technology as a prospective buyer. That experience gave me a unique perspective on how schools make decisions and the role EdTech plays in supporting educators. After that, I knew it was time to try something new and I jumped into EdTech.
I've had the privilege of working for both innovative startups and large EdTech companies. Along the way, I've grown from a Sales Development Representative to an Account Manager to a Regional Vice President. I’ve supported in Customer Success Manager roles and also worked hand-in-hand with nearly every role that exists at an EdTech company.
Throughout my career, I've met countless talented educators and administrators who were curious about what life beyond the classroom might look like but didn't know where to start.
They asked questions like:
Could I find a remote or more flexible role?
What does a career in EdTech sales actually look like?
Would I still be making a meaningful impact?
Do my skills really transfer?
What would this change allow me to better provide for my family?
Those conversations inspired me to create Educator Pivot.
Teaching matters deeply, and our schools need incredible educators. My goal isn't to convince educators to leave teaching or administrative roles.
My goal is to provide honest insights, practical resources, and real-world guidance for educators who are exploring what's next. Whether you're simply curious, actively job searching, or somewhere in between, I want you to have the information you need to make the decision that's right for you.
I'm so glad you're here, and I can't wait to be part of your journey.
